We make Hair Towel in Australia, supporting local makers and textile manufacturers. Wherever possible we use natural fibres, like our OEKO-TEX certified, European linen and our bioresin buttons, biodegradable loop elastic and 100% cotton labels. Although there is no truly sustainable production, we do our darndest to reduce impact as we go.
Most hair towels are made from microfibre, a synthetic material that’s really good at drying things. A little too good. The highly absorbent material slurps up all the precious moisture from naturally dry hair, leaving it looking flat and feeling frazzled.
Inspired by the curly girl method, but looking for something cuter and simpler, we turned to linen. A super soft, moisture-wicking material that absorbs less water than cotton or microfibre, causes less friction and actually gets softer with every wash. The fabric trifecta.
By absorbing less water, linen lets wavy hair retain just enough hydration to dry looking defined and feeling smooth. Plus, we designed it to look cute enough to hang in your bathroom. Or wear out of the house, if you're feeling wavy.
